Hello! My name is Ali, and I’m excited for the chance to be your tutor and teacher. I currently attend NYU School of Law as a JD candidate. In the past, I worked with an education non-profit in Yunnan, China and have taught seminars on Chinese economy and the American prison system at Cornell University. I have been an academic and test prep tutor for several years, both privately and through an exclusive test prep company. For each of my students, I develop an individualized plan that is driven by data and targeted for your personal needs. My goal is to not only maximize your scores, but to also help you gain skills that will carry you through your college career and beyond. Your time with me includes the time we spend together in session, as well as countless hours of lesson planning and preparing that happens behind the scenes. I am extremely cognizant of the pressures that many students face today. I remember vividly what it is like to be a student, and I make sure to take into account the changing world and the added stresses of this time. This allows me the foresight to emphasize strategies for my students that aim to reduce psychological barriers to testing and overall stress. You will leave your time with me with the confidence and skills to succeed.
